Tester Strip
Before printing the contact sheet, I made a tester strip to find out how many seconds were needed for the exposure time. I exposed the entire strip for 2 seconds and then covered 1/5 of the strip with cardboard and exposed it for a further 2 seconds. I repeated this process throughout the strip to provide a series of 5 exposures. I found that the contact sheet should be exposed for about 8 seconds.
Contact Sheet
Before printing my photos, I made a contact sheet to identify which pictures were the most effective (clearest and best composition) to make enlarged prints from.
To make the contact sheet, I set the exposure time to 8 seconds, the aperture at f/5.6 and the magenta dial at 0.
